Programme Note
On Sunday 20th May, from 6pm to 9pm, the historical surroundings of Devonshire Square’s Western Courtyard will be the stage for a spectacular opera concert in which Sabatini will take you on a delightful journey of discovery through some of the most romantic and intense music ever written for the tenor voice.
The charming Italian Tenor, who has been invited to delight audiencs all over Europe with outstanding performances, has proved to the general public to be a top-class performer and is very popular not only for his handsome figure and powerful ringing voice, but also and primarily for his highly emotional singing, capable of carrying his audience on a journey where every word and every note go straight to the listener's heart, whether he sings in English or in his mother tongue, Italian.
Accompanied by the Docklands Sinfonia Strings conducted by Spencer Down and featuring the uprising opera star, Soprano, Honey Rouhani - who recently made her West End debut performing the role of Musetta in Puccini’s La Boheme at the Trafalgar Studios (Olivier Award Nominee) - this concert sets to be a most memorable musical event that you don't want to miss!
The programme will feature: Be My Love, Cielo e Mar, Non Ti Scordar Di Me, La Danza, Maria (West Side Story), La Spagnola, E' La Solita Storia Del Pastore, Granada, 'A Vucchella, Torna a Surriento, Summertime and more...
