Programme Note

This special evening will be in support of Cancer Research UK and dedicated to the memory of MCO’s late Stage Manager Richard Fitzgerald, who worked with the company for more than fifteen years. He sadly passed away following a short battle with lung cancer in August 2016. The concert will be a celebration of Richard’s work, and of the stage management profession more generally: the unsung heroes of the performing world.

The Monteverdi Choir and ORR will be at full strength for this much-anticipated performance with more than 140 musicians taking to the stage. It will also be a chance to experience the thrill and variety of Verdi's masterpiece in a historically-informed performance on period instruments.
