Samling Institute for Young Artists
Programme Note
In a frenetic world where there never seems time ‘to stop and stare’, this year’s Samling Artist Showcase celebrates the art of contemplation and what it means to be alive. Drawing inspiration from the poetry of the Romantics to the present day, the programme will reflect ‘On Man, On Nature and On Human Life’.
This song recital brings together an impressive line-up of young artists who are embarking on careers in major opera houses and concert halls across the UK and Europe. They appear alongside the internationally acclaimed pianist Samling Artist Jonathan Ware. It is the flagship public event for the Samling Artist Programme, illuminating Samling Institute's outstanding and ongoing impact on the world of song and opera and forming a key element of the ongoing support provided to alumni.
