Programme Note

The UK’s only professional string orchestra returns to Wigmore Hall with regular collaborator, pianist Alasdair Beatson.

The programme features Viennese classics and two contemporary twists on classical forms. The concert ends with an early Mozart piano concerto, a work of intricate and exhilarating piano writing strikingly mature for its young composer’s years.
