Programme Note

This concert will contain works selected from those the Choir has performed over the 50 years and will be conducted by its three most recent music directors, Andrew Lumsden, David Hill and Martin Neary. A successful crowdfunding campaign leads to the unveiling of a new commission from the composer and eminent baritone Roderick Williams OBE, who will also be performing in Vaughan Williams' Five Mystical Songs. The Choir will be joined by the London Mozart Players with whom it has enjoyed a close collaboration over the years. This will be a double celebration as the concert also takes place on the occasion of the 80th birthday of Martin Neary, whose celleist daughter Alice will join the choir in Tavener's Svyati.
