Programme Note

This concert forms part of the postponed second day of the English Music Festival 2022 Autumn Series. 

​The series concerts range from contemporary music from cellist Joseph Spooner and violinist Rupert Marshall-Luck, through solo-piano music by Parry, Elgar and Vaughan Williams from pianist Duncan Honeybourne and culminates in the World Première of Ivor Gurney’s intense and moving Sonata in D major.  There are also informative talks and EMF Lunches, hosted by the Club itself, to add to the conviviality and leisureliness of the EMF Autumn Series.
