The duo of Philippa Mo and Harriet MacKenzie is dedicated to introducing audiences world wide to the wealth and quality of the range of music written for two violins but rarely heard on public platforms. Harriet and Philippa met at the Royal Academy of Music, sharing a love of contemporary music, as well as exploring the wealth of music written for two violins. Their concert spans the centuries, with an all English programme, opening with a piece by the 18th century composer William Croft and moving on to twentieth-century and living composers, some of whom have written pieces specially for the duo. A unique combination of two violins to duet across the centuries
Bromsgrove Concerts will be hosting a unique duo - RETORICA - at its next concert. The duo of Philippa Mo and Harriet MacKenzie is dedicated to introducing audiences world wide to the wealth and quality of the range of music written for two violins but rarely heard on public platforms.
