The first public performance of Joby Talbot’s new cantata, commissioned by Independent Opera, which sets love poetry from across the ages.
Celebrating the bi-centenary of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert’s birth Britten Sinfonia and Independent Opera join forces to present the first public performance of Joby Talbot’s new cantata, A Sheen of Dew on Flowers. Setting some of the most beautiful poetry from across the ages with themes of love and loss, this new work will celebrate one of the greatest and enduring marriages in history.
