Programme Note
“Grace Mo's was fiercely dramatic, extrovert and frequently demonic, with orchestral outbursts that pushed the piano to extremes...” Manus Carey on Mo performing Beethoven Sonata Op. 57 “Appassionata”
Described as “an excellent pianist, combining technical wizardry with impressive attention to detail”, Grace Mo is internationally acclaimed and in demand as both soloist and chamber musician. Born in Taiwan, raised in Canada, and now living in London, Grace studied piano performance at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama where she held the Leverhulme Chamber Music Fellowship, Postgraduate Piano Fellowship, and the Postgraduate Artist Diploma. As a soloist, Grace is a prizewinner of numerous international competitions and her performances have taken her to many concert venues around the world: Barbican Music Hall, St. Martin-in-the-Fields, LSO St. Lukes, St. James Piccadilly, Royal Overseas League House (London), Princess Alexandra Hall (Edinburgh), the Marinu Hall (Prague), the Mozarteum (Salzburg), the Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), the Grand Hall (St. Petersburg), and Palau de la Musica Catalana (Barcelona), the Concert Hall (Andorra).
