London's Freshest Classical Music

Part of the ChamberMusicBox 2017 Series

Add to my Calendar 25-06-2017 14:30 25-06-2017 16:30 36 ChamberMusicBox - Piano and Friends With its unique format, outstanding artists and eclectic choice of repertoire, ChamberMusicBox is fast gaining an enthusiastic following.  A mix of exceptional British and European players coming together to present fresh and spontaneous programmes of chamber music that will only be revealed to the audience at the actual concert: that's ChamberMusicBox! Sounds a bit like veg box? That's because in 2016 cellist and Artistic Director Julia Morneweg set out to assemble a superb group of international soloists, chamber musicians and members of leading orchestras to bring the musical equivalent to London. This Sunday afternoon concert will feature Tchaikovsky Competition prize-winner Oleg Poliansky together with four outstanding string players, violinists Yuri Kalnits and Evgenia Epshtein, violist Matthew Quenby and cellist Julia Morneweg. Together they will perform a programme culminating in one of the great chamber music works of the 20th century. (Free ticket scheme for young people up to the age of 26 generously supported by the Cavatina Chamber Music Trust) Suitable for children aged 5 upwards. Children must be seated with parents and supervised at all times. Audience feedback from previous concerts: "Just astonishing choices and hugely talented musicians!""Love it! Quality of musicianship is very good!""Quite apart from a fantastically eclectic repertoire this afternoon, which in itself was remarkable, the musicianship surpassed our expectations."
