The version we will perform is the composer’s own arrangement for two pianos and a veritable ‘battery’ of percussion. The concert also features Stravinsky’s Symphony of Psalms, in its arrangement by Dmitri Shostakovich for choir and piano duet. This is also to commemorate 50 years since his death.
