Add to my Calendar 01-05-2022 20:00 01-05-2022 22:00 36 Live/Online: Leeds Lieder Festival - Louise Alder and Joseph Middleton Louise Alder has become a firm favourite at Leeds Lieder following triumphant performances for us in recent seasons. The Guardian described her and her duo partner Joseph Middleton as ‘classical song’s brightest artists’. Their programme includes transcendental Mahler and the pioneering poetry of Emily Dickinson as set by Copland. Lines from the final song of this closing recital sum up Alder’s generosity as a performer perfectly: ‘I hope your troubles are few, All my good wishes go with you tonight.’ Could there be a better postlude for a Festival?!
