She has a BA in music from Lancaster University where she studied with Jana Frenklova. As a graduate, she went on to study with the great Czech pianist Jan Panenka at the Prague Academy, where she established a reputation as an exceptional interpreter of Mozart. On returning to the UK, she was awarded a scholarship to continue her post-graduate studies at the Royal Northern College of Music, specialising in piano accompaniment, and giving many concerts.
