Originally from Seoul, South Korea, Taek-Gi studies with Choong-Mo Kang at the Julliard School in New York. He has been studying piano since he was 6. Taek-Gi won the first prize at the 2014 Hastings International Piano Competition and second prize at the 2011 Franz Liszt Competition in Germany.
