Programme Note

The Mithras Trio makes a welcome return to Hexham after their rapturously received concert in March 2022. Their attractive programme begins with Beethoven’s first published work and ends with Dvořák’s famous Dumky Trio and its six movements inspired by Slavonic folk music. It also includes the youthful first piano trio by Benjamin Britten’s teacher, Frank Bridge.
