John is a vastly experienced player, having played with many leading orchestras and recorded much of the oboe repertoire. He last performed the Strauss with the AST in 1994 and has also directed the orchestra at Salle. Conducted by the orchestra’s principal guest conductor Christopher Adey the concert will begin with Poulenc’s Sinfonietta and Beethoven’s Symphony No 2.
