A CONCERT NOT TO BE MISSED

Bach, Purcell, a church with glorious acoustics and the splendid voices of Epsom Chamber Choir. What’s not to like? If that is your idea of a fabulous concert, join them at St Martin’s Church, Epsom on 29th March.

Four intricate and uplifting Bach motets paired with four wonderful Purcell anthems, including the much-loved ‘Thou Knowest Lord’ and ‘Hear My Prayer, Oh Lord’, make up the core of the programme.

In addition there are shorter works by contemporary composers Eric Whitacre, John Tavener and Arvo Pärt, along with James Macmillan’s ‘A Child’s Prayer’, a moving anthem dedicated to the children of Dunblane.

Choir Chair Karan Humphries says: “This programme is a joy to sing as well as to listen to and we are really looking forward to performing it at St Martin’s.”

Epsom Chamber Choir is a highly-regarded choir regularly performing ambitious and exciting programmes in St Martin of Tours Church, Epsom. They will be directed in this concert by their regular conductor, rising star Jack Apperley.
