Add to my Calendar 22-10-2017 16:00 22-10-2017 18:00 36 Castalian String Quartet Formed in 2011, this outstanding young quartet with its “richly romantic energy and passion” (Strad Magazine) is fast becoming a favourite of audiences in the United Kingdom and abroad.  Almost immediately after they were launched, they were offered an award by the Elias Fawsett Trust and also the Countess of Munster Trust amongst others. In 2011 they achieved a Masters Degree in Chamber Music at the Hannover University of Music, Dance and Theatre, they  then won First Prize at the Lyon International Chamber Music Competition in 2015 and in 2016 they won Third Prize at the Banff International String Quartet Competition. The quartet is fast emerging as an exciting voice on the international chamber music scene.  A concert in memory of Michael Brown, who for many years was an active committee member of SVAM.  St Mary the Virgin Church, East Bergholt DD/MM/YYYY
