Programme Note

At this year's Swaledale Festival this world-class vocal ensemble, directed by Rory McCleery, performs a capella works by two early masters and two leading contemporary composers. Allegri’s sublime Miserere is one of the most popular choral pieces of all time, and MacMillan’s setting complements it perfectly. For Gabriel Jackson’s piece, the Marian Consort will be joined by Cleveland Philharmonic Junior Choir, directed by John Forsyth MBE.
