Programme Note

Join us for the first of our new series of intimate candlelit performances. Where better to appreciate this sublime music than in the most significant surviving Anglo-Saxon building in the county? Much of St Michael’s Church dates back one thousand years.

Hear one of the most innovative young violinists of his generation playing evocative music – some written three centuries ago, some less than a decade old.

Distinguished actor Eleanor David will read reflective and atmospheric texts.
