Programme Note

The young musicians will perform works from composers including Turgay Erdener (a contemporary Turkish composer of classical music) to Tan Dun (a Chinese contemporary classical composer and conductor, most widely known for his scores for movies including Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) and Ysaÿe (a Belgian violinist, composer and conductor). The emphasis in this showcase will be on the traditional music of the countries the musicians performing come from.
