But if Hallelujah! is all you know of Handel’s Messiah, you’re in for a glorious surprise, because every note is just as inspired. Not so much an oratorio, more a national institution, this is simply some of the most uplifting music ever written, and the ECO’s Advent Sunday performances at Cadogan Hall have become something of a seasonal tradition. With Simon Wright conducting the handpicked singers of the Winchester Consort, tonight we celebrate all the melody and majesty of this timeless classic. Cadogan Hall, London DD/MM/YYYYDetails
