The king of all concertos, Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5 in E flat ‘Emperor’, will then dazzle you with its glorious virtuosity, beauty and majestic tunes. Gorton Philharmonic are delighted and honoured to welcome back the internationally-renowned Beethoven interpreter, recorded artist and published writer Artur Pereira to perform this. The evening concludes with the epic Symphony No. 5 in E minor by Tchaikovsky - whose patron was Countess Nadezheda von Meck - rounding the evening off with its incredible power and passion, and a triumphant finale full of ceremonial splendour.
