Early music group Sounds Historical take us on a whistlestop tour of musical history – 600 years from Hildegard von Bingen to Joseph Haydn, meeting familiar (Machaut, Susato, Telemann) and unfamiliar names – and instruments (recorders, lutes, crumhorns, flutes, viols, violin) – on the way. Heidi Fardell, Mary Tyers, Lynda Sayce & Alison Kinder will be our enthusiastic guides – specialists who love exploring music from mediaeval through to late Baroque on an exciting array of period instruments
