Programme Note

In the opening concert of the Mozart Explored: 1783 series, the London Mozart Players and joined by the City of London Choir and Associate Conductor Hilary Davan Wetton for an evening that will explore works of Mozart that were influenced by his relationships with his sisters.

Aloysia and Constanze Weber were both highly talented singers, and both in turn became the object of Mozart's affections. This concert pays tribute to these remarkable women, featuring concert arias orignially for Aloysia and the emotional C minor Mass, with  a solo soprano part written for Constanze.
