Her Ensemble are an internationally acclaimed, game-changing ensemble giving exciting and important focus to female composers.
Discovering a large gap in her education and a rich legacy of women writing music as far back as 450 BC, Her Ensemble director Ellie Consta, sought to explore this overlooked repertoire and create a space where classical and contemporary traditions could meet on equal terms.
Her Ensemble is as much about challenging the status quo as it is about celebrating underrepresented voices, approaching all music with curiosity, honesty and a spirt of exploration.
Featuring violinist Ellie Consta together with two phenomenal in-demand soloists - Junyan Chen on piano and Laura Van De Heijden on cello - this will be an exciting, uplifting event in the month of International Women's Day.
The programme will include piano trios by Beach, Boulanger, Price and Esmail.
