Programme Note
Join the Primrose Piano Quartet for a late evening lighthearted tour of the United States. They'll be joined by violinist Tom Aldren & double-bassist Will Duerden taking you on a whistle-stop tour of 20th century American music & its many styles & influences: film, jazz, blues, bebop, minimalism, serialism, modernism, hymns, bluegrass, folk tunes and more.
The concert will finish with a great 20th century classic in a brilliant new arrangement for piano & strings - Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue.
Tickets for those attending both this and concert 2 will be available at the usual price for a full-length concert (including a glass of wine).
