Programme Note

In the second of today’s opening concerts in the Brandenburg Choral Festival of London’s 2018 Autumn Series, Artistic Director Robert Porter wields the baton for a performance of Mozart’s ever-popular Requiem, sung by resident choir, the Brandenburg Festival Chorus. In the first half, the festival’s orchestra takes centre stage, with three more masterworks by Mozart: the Salzburg Symphony No. 3 in F, the Marriage of Figaro Divertimento (featuring members of the wind section and glorious melodies from the opera), and the Serenade No. 13 in G major for strings, better known as Eine kleine Nachtmusik.

This concert will be performed by candlelight.

A combined ticket offer is available for this concert and the earlier concert at St Martin’s. Please contact the box office for details.
