Kazakh-British pianist Dina Duisen was born into a family of musicians in Almaty, Kazakhstan. At the age of five, Dina started studying piano at Kulyash Bayseitova State Special School for Gifted Children together with her two brothers Ordabek and Ilyas, who are both violinists. By the age of thirteen she had made her debut with the Symphony Orchestra. After graduating from school, Dina continued her studies at the Kazakh National Academy of Music, graduating with distinction in 2005, before being awarded a full scholarship on the Artist Diploma programme at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, from which she graduated in 2008. At the same time, Dina was invited to work as a teacher of music at the Texas Wesleyan University. In September 2008, Dina started studying for the new Master of Arts Degree in Performance at the Royal Academy of Music, under the tutelage of Christopher Elton, Hamish Milne and Kathryn Stott, and graduated with distinction in 2011.
A major prize winner at many piano competitions, including the 29th International Piano Competition in Senigallia, Italy, the Shabyt International Competition, the National Competition of Kazakhstan and the International Musician of the 21st Century Competition, Dina has also participated in a number of international music festivals in Europe, the USA and in Asia. By 1997 she had attended the Meerim Festival, Kyrgyzstan, and the Ainalayn and Zhubanov festivals in Kazakhstan. More recently she has taken part in the IMS Prussia Cove Master Classes and Open Chamber Music, Rome Music Festival and the Oxford International Piano Festival. In 2007 and 2011, Dina was one of eight pianists selected to participate in Sergei Babayan's International Piano Academy at the Cleveland Institute of Music in Ohio, USA.

Along with her brother Ordabek, Dina has been playing chamber music as part of the Duisen Duo in the UK, Italy, USA and at The Presidential Centre of Culture in Kazakhstan. In October 2009, Dina performed Mozart's Concerto for two pianos alongside Gamal Khamis, accompanied by the London Conservatoires Orchestra. The Duisen-Khamis duo went on to perform duo recitals and Saint-Saens' The Carnival of the Animals at the All Saints Putney Music Festival 2010 and with the West London Sinfonia in 2014. She regularly plays with violinist Alessandro Ruisi. Dina was also invited to give solo recitals at venues including the Jacqueline du Pré Music Building in Oxford, St Martin-in-the-Fields, St James’s Piccadilly, King’s Place and Yamaha Music London. In April, 2011 Dina had a concert as a guest artist at Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, USA, and in 2012 Dina performed Prokofiev's 1st Piano Concerto at the Season Opening Concert of Astana Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2014, she gave the Asian premiere of Mazurkas by British composer Thomas Adès. In 2016, Dina was invited to work alongside Gerhard Schulz during the IMS Prussia Cove masterclasses. In October, 2016 Dina performed with two principal clarinetists Franklin Cohen (former principal clarinet of Cleveland Orchestra) and Chris Richards (principal clarinet of London Symphony Orchestra).
Dina released her solo debut album Mazurkas from Chopin to Adès which was recorded at Kings Place with the Grammy-award winning producer Andrew Keener.
