Programme featuring Vivaldi’s Concertos, Piazzolla’s Tangos and a new commission by David Gordon.  Enjoy the ensemble’s first concert at this particular venue in the heart of London, St George’s Church, Hanover Square. Following the huge critical acclaim of their album, “Piazzolla and Beyond”, London Concertante once again explore the theme of the tango. Alongside their usual brilliant interpretation of Vivaldi’s stunning music, and as part of their ground-breaking new project, “Tango Vivaldi”, the ensemble develops the strong beats, dreamy slow movements, and sudden changes of texture of both Vivaldi and tango to create a rhythmical, powerful, hot-blooded and dynamic new sound in new arrangements and compositions by composer, David Gordon. Founded in 1991, London Concertante have continued to perform up and down the country and beyond, reaching audiences far and wide with their exciting programmes of classical treats, hidden baroque gems and brand new commissions.  Having reached critical acclaim on several tours and numerous recordings, London Concertante are internationally renowned as one of the finest chamber ensembles in Europe, with their stunning interpretations and exhilarating musical performances.   “A new experience for me … atmospheric and emotionally powerful. I would happily do this again!” – A happy audience member (January 2018)   “the most stunning and talented ensemble…enthralled and delighted”  – A happy audience member (November 2017)   “First-class musicians … The muscle in each individual’s playing gave such a punch to Tchaikovsky’s writing.” – Sunday Express St George's Hanover Square, London DD/MM/YYYY
