Programme Note
Laura Van Der Heijden was the recipient of the 2025 Royal philharmonic Society INstrumental Award and is known for her engaging and imaginative programming. She opened the 2025/26 season at Scotalnd's Lammermuir Festival as Artist in Residence and regularly appears in performances with the Ulster Orchestra, Royal Northern Sinfonia, Philharmonie Zuidnederland and the Pilsen Philharmonic. She also leads a play/direct project with Sinfonia Cymru and is a soloist in Manchester Colective's newly commisioned Papillons project!
Jâms Coleman is a regular performer at prestigious festivals and venues across the UK and internationally, appearing asa soloist, chamber musician and vocal accompanist. He most recently performed at Aldeburgh Festival, BBC Proms, Champs Hill, Cello Biënnale, Cheltenham Festival, Kings Place, Leeds Lieder Festival, LSO St. Luke's, Ortús Chamber Music Festival, Oxford international Song Festival, Petworth festival, Prussia Cove Open Chamber Music, The Royal Concertgebouw and Wigmore Hall!
