Programme Note
The Brandenburg Choral Festival of London welcomes two of Trinity Laban conservatoire's flagship vocal ensembles to the 2017 Autumn Series. In the first half Lee Reynolds conducts a programme exploring the French and English choral traditions of the early twentieth century, with music by Howells, Debussy and Poulenc, and finishing with Vaughan Williams' ravishing Serenade to Music. In the second half, Trinity Laban's Head of Voice, Linda Hirst conducts vocal ensemble Rubythroat in two contemporary works by Roger Marsh and Claudio Ambrosini, before finishing with three of Monteverdi's delightful Madrigals.
