Programme Note

The Brandenburg Choral Festival of London welcomes back the fantastic Minerva Consort and its conductor John Andrews for this candlelit late-night concert, the first of their two appearances in the 2017 Autumn Series. Allegri’s haunting Miserere, complete with stratospheric solo, is at the heart of this programme, which includes other gems of the Renaissance a cappella repertoire by Palestrina, Victoria, Gesualdo and Tallis. To finish a contrast from four centuries later: Duruflé's Quatre motets.

This concert will last approximately one hour without an interval.

A combined ticket offer is available for this concert and the earlier concert at St Martin's. Please contact the box office for more details.
