Allegri’s haunting Miserere, complete with stratospheric solo, is at the heart of this programme, which includes other gems of the Renaissance a cappella repertoire by Palestrina, Victoria, Gesualdo and Tallis. To finish a contrast from four centuries later: Duruflé's Quatre motets. This concert will last approximately one hour without an interval.
