With pianist Malcolm Martineau, she has given two sensational recitals at previous Festivals and we are thrilled to welcome them both back. They include Schumann’s settings of Eichendorff, the Op. 39 'Liederkreis' ('Song Circle'): one of the many masterpieces of 1840, Schumann’s annus mirabilis, this cycle is full of nature and landscape, mystery and yearning.
