For this very special first event of his residency, he is joined by world-renowned lutenist Elizabeth Kenny. They focus on Elizabethan songwriters who were attracted to the expressive possibilities of the sonnet form, with songs by Danyel, Morley and Dowland, as well as settings of Shakespeare freshly set to pre-existing tunes from the lute-song repertory by scholar and author Ross W.
