Today they bring a programme that includes Brahms’s 'Four Serious Songs'. Written in 1896, when he was already ill with the cancer that would kill him the following year and aware of the likely imminent death of his dear friend Clara Schumann, these are Brahms’s last songs and reveal his profound perspective on humanity and mortality. Michael and Keval also include a magnificent selection of songs by Jean Sibelius. For more information, or to purchase tickets, please visit our website. Holywell Music Room, Oxford DD/MM/YYYYDetails
