Star soprano and former winner of the Rosenblatt Recital Song Prize at BBC Cardiff Singer of the World Ailish Tynan joins celebrated British pianist Christopher Glynn for a wide-ranging programme that sets unforgettable Romantic song cycles by Schumann, Strauss and Grieg alongside music inspired by the sensual and evocative poetry of James Joyce.

Ailish Tynan was a Vilar Young Artist at the Royal Opera House and a BBC New Generation Artist. She now performs regularly at some of the world’s leading opera houses and major festivals throughout Europe, and her numerous recordings have garnered widespread critical acclaim.

Pre-recital, 7.00pm: student singers from the University of York. Free to ticket holders.
