Programme Note
The fabulous Purcell Singers return to the Brandenburg Choral Festival of London for this late-night concert of music old and new. The programme opens with Thomas Tallis's spellbinding Motet for 40 voices, Spem in alium, and also includes motets by two other English composers William Byrd and Henry Purcell, and more recent works by Sir Tavener, Whitacre and Goecki. Join us in the beautiful candlelit surroundings for this mesmerising a cappella performance by one of London's finest choirs.
This concert will last approximately one hour without an interval.
