Programme Note
The Brandenburg Choral Festival of London welcomes two female vocal ensembles, the Glass Ensemble and Viva Acappella, with contrasting programmes. In the first half, Berkshire-based choir the Glass Ensemble present a programme of Renaissance motets written for higher voices by European composers including Josquin, Lassus, Palestrina and Victoria. After the interval, Viva Acappella lighten the mood with a real variety of repertoire, including songs from the shows and Disney films, pop songs and American jazz standards. With both songs from Viva's bronze-medal-winning performance at the European Barbershop Convention last October, and some songs with full choreography, this is a show not to be missed!
