Programme Note
The Brandenburg Choral Festival of London welcomes two workplace choirs to the 2018 Spring Series. Gareth Malone’s BBC TV series Sing while you work inspired budding vocalists all over the country, and tonight’s concerts features two of the talented choirs from the original series, Citi Choir and the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Choir. They are set to entertain us with a diverse programme featuring modern choral classics by Eric Whitacre, Ola Gjeilo and Will Todd, Gospel works and arrangements of favourite pop songs dating from the 60s to the present day. Dan Ludford-Thomas and Peter D Mitchell show their talents as arrangers and conductors, and lead our two fantastic choirs through this varied programme in the lovely surroundings of St Paul’s Covent Garden.
