Programme Note

Novelists Amit Chaudhuri and Louise Welsh discuss D. H. Lawrence’s The Rainbow, first published 100 years ago. The novel, which was banned on publication, tells the story of the Brangwen family as they face the decline of their pastoral life in the face of industrialisation.

No ticket required. Entry is on a first-come first-served basis (doors open 30 minutes before the event begins; capacity is limited)
