Programme Note

The Brandenburg Choral Festival of London welcomes the Choir of Eton College and conductor Tim Johnson for the first of today's finale concerts in the 2017 Spring Series. With Eton's long-established choral tradition this is sure to be a fine performance of Vivaldi's Gloria, with accompaniment provided by resident ensemble Brandenburg Sinfonia, and soloists drawn from the choir. To begin the concert, the instrumentalists will perform two masterpieces by Mozart, his dramatic Adagio and Fugue in C minor and the charming Divertimento in F, both for strings. In between they will be joined by Lydia Griffiths for Marcello's beautiful Oboe Concerto.

A combined ticket offer is available for this concert and the later concert at St Martin's. Please contact the box office for details.
